DR. AMBER MILLS
DENTIST
Dr. Amber Mills is from a small town in southern Iowa called Albia. She attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and earned her bachelor’s degree in food science and technology.
Moving into dental school, Dr. Mills completed extra coursework and graduated with distinction in dental public health from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. During her time in dental school, Dr. Mills also participated in volunteer programs with dental public health groups such as the Iowa Mission of Mercy, school based sealant and education programs, and a mission trip to rural Mexico that provided education and dental care to children with limited access to dentists.
Something Dr. Mills has taken from attending the University of Iowa is a unique dental education where she was able to learn to perform a wide variety of procedures that encompass all aspects of general dentistry. Dr. Mills has rotated through many different types of clinics to gain experience working with pediatric, geriatric and special needs patients, as well as learning from many different professionals. With this knowledge, Dr. Mills has learned how to adapt to new situations to provide the best care for her patients.
In her free time, Dr. Mills loves to run, hike and paddleboard, as well as any other outdoor activity. For the past three years, she has also been enjoying aerial silks and trying any hobby that will keep her active.
DR. CARESA DOAKES
DENTIST
Dr. Caresa Doakes is a Kansas City, Missouri native. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Cum Laude, from the University of Missouri St. Louis. After working for two years as a scientist in the biotechnology industry, Dr. Doakes decided to pursue her dream of becoming a dentist.
Dr. Doakes attended the University Of Missouri Kansas City School Of Dentistry, earning her DDS in 2014. Upon graduation, she received The Quintessence Award for Restorative Dentistry and The John R. Killip Leadership Award. Not only is Dr. Doakes a diplomat of the International Dental Implant Association, but she is also an active member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Missouri Dental Association, The American Orthodontic Society, and the American Academy of Facial Esthetics. Dr. Doakes has obtained advanced training with continuing education courses that include Implant Seminars, Progressive Orthodontics, Gerety Orthodontic Seminars, FastBraces® and Invisalign®. As a lifetime learner, she is currently in pursuit of an advanced dental degree at USC in the subjects of Orofacial Pain and Oral Medicine.
Following her belief in giving back to those in need, Dr. Doakes has participated in missionary trips providing dentistry for those who would otherwise not receive the care. She also devotes a portion of her dental practice to low income families. She is passionate about changing lives by giving beautiful smiles. She loves spending time with her family. Her hobbies include dancing, traveling, and playing the cello.
LINDA TOMAZI
DENTAL HYGIENIST
In 2019, Linda joined our dental team as our registered dental hygienist. She graduated from the University of Missouri, Kansas City with a Bachelor of Science in dental hygiene. Linda loves the support she receives from her team and she adds a cheerful and positive mindset to our team. Outside of the office, Linda enjoys counted cross-stitching and reading mystery novels, as well as lifting weights and doing Tai Chi. She is married to her husband Keith, a consulting engineer.
SUZANNE CANETTA
DENTAL ASSISTANT
In 2018, Suzanne became a part of our team as our dental assistant. She has a vast range of experience working in dentistry, including 10 years of experience in oral surgery and another 20 years working as an EFDA. She loves the atmosphere of the office here and she enjoys being a part of our team where everyone gets along well, and the doctors are amazing to work for. Suzanne does her best to make sure the patients feel relaxed and comfortable during their visit.
